Barack Obama's Support of Gay Marriage

  

U.S. President Barack Obama is featured on the cover of Newsweek Magazine (available today) with a rainbow halo over his head, with the caption The First Gay President.  This after President Obama  announced last week that he supports Gay Marriage in the United States.   

The article in Newsweek is written by gay writer Andrew Sullivan, who is a self described political conservative.  Sullivan's story analyzes the Presidents change of heart regarding gay marriage. 

Obama changed his position regarding gay marriage and announced last week that "afters years of lengthy discussions with friends and family, including his own wife and two daughters , he now personally believes that gays and lesbians should have the right to marry."

Political opponent Mitt Romney doesn't share those same thoughts, stating he feels that "marriage is between one man and one woman".

Many feel that this stance will cause Obama to lose support and votes from the Black churches.

Houston Family Reality Show and Bobbi Kris Sings (Listen Here)

 

The Houston Family has inked a deal with Lifetime Networks to star in a reality show The Houston Family Chronicles.  The show will focus on the Bobbi Kris, Cissy Houston, Gary and Pat Houston (Whitney's brother and sis-n-law) and their daughter Rayah.

The series will follow the family as they heal, bond, and love one another after a very difficult loss. The producers of the show say don't expect hijinks; this reality show will have a very serious, somber tone.

 Cissy thinks this show will be a great catapult for Bobbi Kristina's career.  She knows that Bobbi Kris has a passion for music like her mom Whitney.  The show will be a great way to shed light on her talent.  Cissy also likes the fact that the show can be a means of financial support for her extended family members.

Trayvon Martin's Mom, Sybrina Fulton's Mother Day Message - Powerful!

This will be the first Mother's day that Sybrina Fulton will be without her son Trayvon Martin. 

While I cannot imagine what she must be dealing with, I know that Sunday will be especially trying for the mother of slain teen Trayvon Martin.  View her powerful PSA below in a plea to end gun violence and to re-examine the 25 "Stand Your Ground" laws in other states.

Former Miss USA Kenya Moore will replace Sheree Whitfield on RHOA

Kenya Moore confirmed with Sister 2 Sister Magazine that she will be joining the cast of a popular reality show.  Kenya Moore is a former Miss USA, and she also has graced the cover of several magazines.  Kenya can also been seen in several movies such as Trois, Waiting to Exhale, Deliver Us From Eva, and I Know Who Killed Me, with Lindsay Lohan.


Rumors swirled earlier this week that the former Miss USA would be replacing Sheree Whitfield on season 5 of "RHOA," which has already begun shooting. While Kenya doesn't currently live in ATL, she is currently looking for a home there.  Kenya is also not a housewife, but then again, that seems to be a moot point when it comes to these "reality shows".

When S2S recently caught up with Kenya at a Black Women in Entertainment Law fundraiser honoring Debra Lee, we chatted it up with her about reality TV.

While she wasn't too hot about some reality shows which she feels make women look "immature" and "petty," she let it slip that she's been extended an offer to put her life on TV.

"I've had an opportunity recently to be on a reality show," Kenya exclusively told S2S. "I feel like it's almost like my duty to take the job because it's the converse of what we're seeing now."

Initially, the Bravo Network reached out to Ne-Yo's baby momma Monyetta Shaw, but she turned it down. Bravo was also in talks with Lil Wayne's baby momma Toya Wright, but those negotiations have stalled.

Chris Brown Disses Rihanna in Theraflu Freestyle!!!

 WELP, that was fast....these two estranged lovers seemed to have made peace by collaborating on one another's singles recently.  I am not sure what happened but Chris is now going in on Rihanna on his Theraflu Freestyle...calling her an industry hoe, and saying that everybody had a piece of that cake!

Rihanna definitely feels like the verse is about her, and per TMZ.com after hearing the track, she unfollowed Chris on twitter!  Chris, then unfollowed Rihanna as well!  Something tells me, there is more amiss.....hmmmmmmmm!!!!!

Saved By The Bell's Lisa Turtle Today...Say It Ain't So......

 

Lark Voorhies, from Saved By The Bell fame in a recent interview looked a hot made up mess!  I am sad.

It has literally been years since we’ve heard anything from everyone’s favorite “Saved By The Bell” spoiled girl Lark Voorhies (aka Lisa Turtle). But she actually recently caught up with Michael Yo of Yahoo’s “The Yo Show” to talk about what’s been going on with her life and career.

She made mention of a film that she wrote, directed, starred in, executive produced (so on and so forth)– you get the idea. Lark also dispelled any rumors that she dated her former SBTB cast members.

But what was most noticeable about the entire thing was her whole look she had going on. While Lark had a lot to say, there was something interestingly different about her face that just looked off. We couldn’t tell if it was the lack of eyelashes, poor make up application or too much plastic surgery.
But sources have already started murmuring that Lark has been partaking in skin bleaching. There hasn’t been any confirmation of the bleach usage from the actress herself– but what do you think the deal is?
